When you create a Joti account, we collect your name, email address, and password to identify you and secure your account. You may optionally provide your birthdate and body weight, which we use to personalize stats like estimated calories burned. As you use the app, we store the workout data you log — exercises, sets, reps, weights, equipment, and schedules — so you can track your training history and progress, along with preferences like your theme.
If you subscribe, Apple, Google, or RevenueCat handle your payment details directly — Joti never receives or stores your card information. We only receive your subscription status (active, expired, etc.) so the app knows what you have access to.
Joti's AI features (workout insights, exercise search, and workout template search) send data to Google's Gemini API to generate results. This data is limited to workout metrics — exercise names, sets, reps, weights, durations, and similar training statistics. Your name and email address are never included in what's sent to Google — the data sent for AI processing is anonymous with respect to your identity.
Separately from the in-app AI features above, Joti offers an optional connection — set up and approved by you at joti.kompetic.com/connect — that lets a third-party AI assistant you choose (such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Grok, or Perplexity) read your workouts, workout history, stats, and the exercise library, and create or schedule workouts on your behalf. This only happens if you explicitly connect a tool; nothing is shared this way by default.
Unlike the in-app AI features, this connection also shares your email address, so the connected provider can identify which account it's talking to. Once shared, that data is handled under the connected provider's own privacy policy and terms, not ours. This connection never has access to your body measurements or progress photos, and it can never edit or delete an existing workout, or log a session on your behalf.
You can see everything a connected tool has done, undo any individual action, and revoke the connection entirely at any time from Joti Settings. Every action a connected tool takes is logged on our servers so it can be shown to you and undone; these logs are automatically deleted after 30 days, once the undo window has passed.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings, in both the web app and the mobile app. Deleting your account deactivates it immediately — you and any connected AI tool immediately lose access, and the app can no longer be used to sign in. Note that deleting your Joti account does not cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription — that has to be cancelled separately through Apple or Google, since they manage that billing relationship directly.
Records of AI tool activity (see "Third-party AI connections" above) are automatically deleted after 30 days. We otherwise retain account and workout data for as long as needed to operate the service, including in routine backups, and do not currently commit to a fixed deletion timeframe for it beyond deactivation. If you'd like your remaining data permanently erased, contact us through the Contact Support option in the app and we'll action the request.
Joti is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
